Here it is, as promised...probably the cutest DIY client ever! The mother of the groom collected Ball Jars for months for this event. The cake table consisted of all homemade cakes- all on cake stands that each sister/cousin/relative brought for display. The guest table centerpieces were also all wildflower clippings and magnolia leaves that the MOG brought from Sumter, SC.
CFD had a blast working with this one and were so happy to work with the fabulous talents of Gilmore Bar & Wine, Event Works Rentals, Smoky Oak Taproom, Tiger Lily Florist, DJ Ric Rush, & Shem Creek Events.
Wonderful photography by Jennifer Bearden who captured some super cute moments!

Enjoy!
Tiger Lily did the breathtaking mantle design and floral centerpieces.
Homemade cakes included: 14-layer Chocolate, Caramel, Italian Cream & Pound Cake....YUM! Aren't these cake stands to die for? Smoky Oak Taproom brought their apple-red '54 Chevy for catering....it was delicious!
Possibly one of my FAVORITE companies to work with...Gilmore Bar & Wine! They brought antiqued silver punch bowls for self-serve, bourbon soaked cherries (which the groom thoroughly enjoyed), and their candied pecans for the bar, and their STELLAR staff....yes, we were spoiled rotten!
This was a great, fun group! I love groups that dance. DJ Ric Rush provided some stellar tunes and turned up that energy. The hand-painted oyster knives were the grooms' gifts - what a FABULOUS idea!

A Derby Party
Ahhh...Derby! I must admit I have only been once, but being engaged to Louisville, Kentucky boy, this event is huge in our household. Being told we are to host a 'Derby Party', as most good Lousivillians do, I figured it was as good of time as ever to find some new ideas.
I love all of the bright colors Bash, Please has used in their tablesetting- they remind me of the silks the jockeys wear. And the gold horses, precious!! Check out these yummy macaroons from Charleston's Macaroon Boutique - a classy treat for any affair!
We do have quite a collection of derby glasses in our house and I just love these julep placecards. An excuse to use peonies, garden roses, aquafresca containers and the tarnishing silver in my cabinets?....yes please! And Lilly Pulitzer linen...this is a southern event after all!
Cheers!
